Sibelyx
How it works: the game averages the parents' hidden CombiRank — (2070 + 1560 + 1) ÷ 2 = 1815 — and hatches the Pal whose rank sits closest to that value.

How breeding works in Palworld
1 · Set up the farm. Unlock the Breeding Farm at Technology Level 19, assign one male and one female Pal of any species, and keep Cake in the farm box. They produce an egg for the Egg Incubator.
2 · The hidden rank decides. Each species carries a hidden CombiRank. The child's rank is the parents' average, rounded up — the egg becomes the Pal whose rank is nearest that value. Low ranks are rare Pals; high ranks are common ones.
3 · Exceptions override. Same-species parents always breed true, 135 special pairings hatch a fixed variant, and one pair (Katress × Wixen) depends on gender. Read the full breeding guide →
Palworld breeding FAQ
How does the Palworld breeding calculator work?
Every Pal species has a hidden value called CombiRank. When two Pals breed, the game averages their CombiRank — floor((A + B + 1) ÷ 2) — and the egg hatches into whichever breedable Pal's rank is closest to that average. This calculator uses the full combination table extracted from the Palworld 1.0 game files, so results match the game exactly, including special combinations.
Does Penking + Bushi still make Anubis?
No. That was the famous early-access route. Palworld 1.0 rebalanced breeding ranks, and Penking + Bushi now hatches Sibelyx. Anubis is still breedable — it has over 200 parent combinations in 1.0, including Univolt Cryst + Moldron Cryst. Use the reverse finder above to see them all.
What are special breeding combinations?
135 specific parent pairings ignore the CombiRank formula and always hatch a fixed Pal — usually a variant such as Relaxaurus Lux (Relaxaurus + Sparkit) or Vanwyrm Cryst (Vanwyrm + Foxcicle). One pair, Katress × Wixen, even depends on the parents' genders. The full list is on the Special Combos page.
Can legendary Pals like Jetragon be bred?
Only from their own species. Jetragon, Frostallion, Paladius, Necromus and the other legendaries breed true — two Jetragon parents hatch a Jetragon — but no cross-species pairing produces them. The same applies to raid Pals such as Bellanoir Libero and the Xenolord line.
Does the calculator cover passive skills and IVs?
No — it answers the species question only, and that part is fully deterministic. Which passive skills and IVs the child inherits follows separate inheritance mechanics, so plan those after you have locked in the right parent pair.
Which Pals cannot breed at all?
Panthalus and Astralym cannot enter a Breeding Farm, so they can neither be used as parents nor hatched from an egg. Every other Pal in the 1.0 roster of 299 can be used as a parent.
